Bye Bye first.

Yesterday was my last day at work...it's my first job and i experienced a lot. I learned a lot of things from my teammates, friends at work and of course my team leaders. I spent almost 2 years of my life in that company. I had 2 Christmas, new year and 2 birthdays with them. I nevver regret anything, i had friends, i gain knowledge and i ow i wimet a lot of people. I will surely miss them...all of them...I will remember everything because. You know the feeling of sad and happy at the same time...that where im at right now and that where im going to stay for at least awhile.

Me and Mrs Jones

I love this so song...
It's so relaxing and so "swabe"
Lyrics is not applicable to me but i DIGG it! Labb Labb!

Me and Mrs.Jones

We got a thing goin'on
We both know that it's wrong
But it's much too strong
To let it go now

We meet every day at the same cafe
Six-thirty and no one knows she'll be there
Holding hands, making all kinds of plans
While the juke box plays our favorite songs

Me and Mrs.Jones
We got a thing goin'on
We both know that it's wrong
But it's much too strong
To let it go now

We gotta be extra careful
That do we don't build our hopes up too high
Because she's got her own obligations
And so, and so, do I

Me and Mrs.Jones
We got a thing goin'on
We both know that it's wrong
But it's much too strong
To let it go now

Well, it's time for us to be leaving
It hurts so much, it hurts so much inside
Now she'll go her way snd I'll go mine
Tomorrow we'll meet
The same pklace, the same time

Me and Mrs.Jones
We got a thing goin'on
We both know that it's wrong
But it's much too strong
To let it go now

Bautista says that they fed 2,500 and based on records, every meal cost 40 (some as high as 150 pesos per). So, 2,500 x 40= 100,000 for each meal. If they fed them thrice, that's 300,000 pesos per day.

Okey. So, for a month which includes weekends, that would only be 9 million pesos. So, for a year, that would cost the Quezon City government, 108 million pesos. The question that everybody wants to know is--why did the government spent 270 million pesos, for a feeding program which only amounted to 108 million? Where did the rest of the money go?

In this interview with Karen Davila, Herbert Bautista admits that he spent P8million to P9million a month feeding 2,500 people in a project called Halamanan at Bakuran.

Mathematics time!

Assuming that each meal costs P50, this would amount to 125,000 a day, multiplied by 24 days, this would amount to JUST P2.9 Million.

Even if they were fed twice a day, the total would be P4.8 Million a month.

The question is, where did the rest of the P8 million to P9million go?

For Glory and riches...awooo!!!

I overheard that Quezon City is the riches city in the philippines, and the budget for the city alone is whopping 10 billion pesos, there are 4 main candidates for mayoralty, Mike Defensor, Herbert bautista, Mel Mathay and Annie Susano. It seems that Mike Defensor and Herbert baustista are the most eager candidates...They've been fighting and throwing issues at each other...No wonder...It's 10 billion pesos...It's worth fighting for...= )

poster galore!

The local campaign started last march 26, but the posters of some candidates are all over Quezon City even before march 26. So far mike defensor have the most number of posters, he is all over the place!I can see him everywhere.I saw annie susanos 2 big tarpauline posters along edsa.Vice mayor Herbert Bautista have posters but he is always with joy belmonte and it's not that many. I'm trying to find a poster or any campaign paraphernalia of Mel Mathay, but i think it's poster in a place called nowhere. I wasn't able to see at least one. I don't know why,but i'm hoping to see one as soon as possible, maybe mel mathay's camp is still on the process of posting them, right? Mike defensor's posters are nice because he's pogi, but it's not enough for my vote.I want more...aahaha!

Sarurday getaway!

One hot Saturday morning....
we are on our way to laiya batangas, me and my friends decided that we need to go to the beach asap.last Saturday march 27 was the perfect day, no work and just play. It was a 4 hours travel because we got lost...ahahaha..we arrived at laiya at around 11 am My friends forgot to do a reservation at kabayan( its their choice) and the resort is fully booked, so we have no choice but to check ou other resorts, i was trying to call my friend mike pangilinan, he is the owner of punto miguel beach resort in laiya, anilao and the paraiso resort. I cant reach him and my friends decide to take a chance on one of the resorts that is available. On the way to that resort,my car experienced cruelty. The road is very very disappointing! we arrived there and one of my friends told us that the fee for the cottage is 2k (day tour only). my friends decided to take it. we are already on the said cottage and its not nice because our neighbor is very noisy and there are a lot of drunk men doing funny things, a good thing happened, mike my friend text-ed me and i told him i was calling him because in in laiya, he told me to come over so we can chat, i found him and i told him we are in a very miserable place...he offered us place to stay for the rest of the afternoon,so i told my friends to pay the cottage and let's just leave. mike prepared 2 beach beds in front of the sea so we can relax..i was so happy because he did helped us a lot...he gave us a good time and we are really thankful for his kindness...try and check out his resort...the place is nice and the people are very accommodating. We had a good time..thanks to mike.

Local Campaign experience

Last march 26 is that start for the local elections campaign,i'm expecting traffic and big crowd all over quezon city. Im on my way to trinoma because i want to watch "how to train your dragon" (a very good movie). Usually its on a 30 minute drive from our home to trinoma but that day is not my usual day, a group of van was parading along Mindanao avenue and they are causing traffic already, i arrived at trinoma 45 minutes after. That's fine with me because other candidates are doing the same thing, I took some pictures while i was stuck in the traffic and the mayoral candidate annie susano is the one roaming around the street..i did not saw her but her posters are all over the vans.I spoke to my friend from commonwealth and he told me that he saw Mel Mathay's motorcade along commonwealth, he told me that he was not sure if ara mina is with him because he is trying to spot her..hehehe...the road along commonwealth is pretty wide that why he told me he was not delayed by traffic.I'm really expecting more of this motorcade and house to house visits to promote themselves.
May the best man win!!!

*i will post the picture later..

march 20 2009, saturday...
From the moment that i woke up im very excite because it's 2nd day of the annual crocs sale
i woke up around 7:30 am, the crocs sale will open at 10 am... I was chatting with my brothers and i am encouraging them to join me because it's 90% off!!! My boyfriend, his brother and my brother went to meralco avenue @ around 8 am and along the way we ask one another,"how can we go to Mega tent??" we are so stupid maybe because of excitement....we trying to find our way to meralco avenue a policeman stop us and told us that we violated on of the traffic rules...i was furious because he is accusing me of recless driving!!!i told manong police that i'm just lost...but he doesn't want to hear it. but i did not back down..i insist then manong police said ang kulit ko daw...so he set us free...we arrived at megatent around 9:30 am, i was shocked because the line is exaggerated and we need to be in the line too...there are no tents and we are exposed to the scorching sun...when we are just about 50 people away from the entrance(yey!) my nose bled..and i feel dizzy..but nevermind.. i'm going to get my crocs...when we are already inside...people are like ants searching for food...they are opening boxes that should not be open...it was hot and the people are on fire!!!the prices are good...the maryjanes are available in size 10 only...lucky for mr it's my size..it's 300 pesos ony..the high heel sandals is 500 and the other flipflops is 999...i spent at least 2 hours fighting over diff colors and finding sizes for me...i got myself 3 maryjanes and a nice slippers for my mom..i was about to pay and the cashier area is filled with people....i spent another hour just to pay...(sigh) i noticed that some of them bought a lot!like boxes of sandals and stuff..and i though maybne they are going to resell it...nice ideaq right?my boyfriend his brother nad my brother was not able to buy anything because they told me that the available sizes for men are only 14 and up.,.i was so tired and i want to take a bath because it's so hot and im feeling very sticky.i was so tired!!!On the way home, we passed along cubao and it's so traffic all the way to Quezon ave..(what's new?right?) i was driving and i just want to scream....we decided to stop by at trinoma mall to relax because we figured that it's still hot at home. i just want to sleep...but i cant..too bad...i just said to myselfg that i got the mayjanes for 300 only...and it was worth it...

Multipy Alarm

Today is my rest day, 2 days of work free day...Since i'm free today i went to the nearest mall. SM North Edsa is the place! The crowd is big and there are students everywhere! Maybe because it's the last day of school. I watched everybody, I'm very critical on what i see because i'm a visual person. I checked out the groups, the way they dress, stores that have more customers. I'm very observant, it is my hobby since i'm in the advertising field. I need to be curious and critical. After countless hours of walking and "spotting" i got tired and decided to go to one to my friend's house in project 8 to refresh and to chat. I went to my car and I had a tough time on deciding which way to go since my brain cells got tired too..(Information Overload!) On my way to my friend's place in proj 8 QC, I passed through congressional...then i was like OMG! There are "mini houses" in the middle of the road after the Culiat bridge, i saw them before, but that time there was like 3 houses only...it's just like weeks ago and now there are like 7 - 10 houses! Little kids are crossing the street freely as if they are in a park and there are number of water containers in front of their houses . I know it's really bothering, because you can hit them anytime and if you do it's still your fault and that too bad!
I believe that this squatter's houses are built after the Ondoy storm but they are already multiplying...It's a scary thought that one day you see the whole street filled with this mini houses... I hope that other people are noticing this, and it's not just me.
People...something needs to be done... If i can post pictures i'll do it,so you'll see what I'm talking about...
I hope this post will reach the PEOPLE that can take care of this problem. Action required!
Peace XOXO

The Mayoralty forum

A very interesting event happened yesterday at QC Polytechnic University,. Early that morning, students, teachers and residents of Quezon city are allowed to participate. All running for the position as mayor of Quezon City was invited. They are Mike Defensor, Mel Mathay, Ariel Inton, Annie Susano and Vice Mayor Herbert Bautista. Mel Mathay and Mike Defensor are the only candidates that showed up yesterday, they had the privilege to connect with the people of Quezon City and give the people of QC a glimpse of their platforms and plans if they were elected in the said position. The question raised by students and teachers are pretty common, they are the usual problem of every city, there are questions about the city budget, educational programs, criminal rate, poverty etc. However there are some questions that intrigued me, an example of this "question" is Can they do what Mayor Sonny Belmonte did to Quezon City for his 9 years of service? Can they Do better? Of course the answer is pretty obvious, they said that they will try their best to do more for the people of Quezon City.

As what i observed from these 2 candidates, the way they answer the questions are different. Mr. Mel Mathay is very precise and specific, while Mr. Defensor is always looking for the big picture. They have different approach and they are answering things in a different manner and in different perspective. Mr. Mel Mathay is giving examples on what to do to the city's little needs that can make a big difference, like helping out the sari sari store owners to improve the livelihood of the residents of Quezon City which is i think is good because i'm a believer that we should attend to the little things first, so we can have a better view of the big picture. As they say Big things come in small packages. He is direct to the point in answering questions. In the other hand, Mr. Defensor is very good in research, he is mentioning the percentage of businesses and the latest trends that can affect Quezon City. Mel Mathay is not into research since he is not mentioning any percentages etc, he is getting his answer on how he knows the people of Quezon City since he was in the position before. He also said that he is not really into labels because what is important is the fact that he knows he was able to help and serve.

I would like to treat these candidates as Brands like Pampers, Tide, Colgate etc. They have their own strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. They have competitors and target market to analyze. As a brand they have messages to deliver, so their consumers will stay loyal and new consumers will be curious to try them. Mel Mathay is no different. He is just like a trusted product/brand before who is out in the market for awhile and he is making a come back. As we all know a Brand is promise, and it should be delivered by experience, In this case, Mel Mathay does have experience.

Feel free to give more information or comment. Let's help one another for a better future. The future of Quezon City is in our hands.

Random thought

I was going home from work and i stopped by at 7/11 in Tandang Sora, quezon city. I noticed that there are kids around 8-11 years old, they are still on the street and they are playing with coins, i know that this is a normal scene but somehow i had this thought, is the world going to be a better place without them on the street? One though followed another..then a question suddenly pops. What is the root of this?Is it because of their parents, it is because of the government, it is because of their environment. It's sad and as i what i said, Its been like this for the longest time...why is it that nobody is taking care of this problem...they should be sleeping..getting ready for school tomorrow morning...this is just a random thought...a simple question in mind.
